problema de sa\u00fade muito comum no Brasil e no mundo. Apesar de ser uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o que nem sempre apresenta sintomas evidentes, ela pode trazer s\u00e9rias consequ\u00eancias ao longo do tempo, como derrames, infartos, problemas nos rins e at\u00e9 a morte. Um dos principais fatores por tr\u00e1s dessa doen\u00e7a silenciosa \u00e9 o excesso de sal que consumimos todos os dias, muitas vezes sem perceber. Quando essa for\u00e7a est\u00e1 constantemente acima do normal, dizemos que a pessoa tem hipertens\u00e3o. Os valores considerados ideais s\u00e3o abaixo de 120 por 80 mmHg. Quando os n\u00fameros ultrapassam 140 por 90 mmHg em mais de uma medi\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e9 sinal de alerta.<\/p><p>Essa condi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 chamada de &#8220;silenciosa&#8221; porque muitas vezes a pessoa n\u00e3o sente nada de diferente, mesmo com a press\u00e3o elevada. No entanto, ela pode estar prejudicando aos poucos o funcionamento de \u00f3rg\u00e3os vitais como o cora\u00e7\u00e3o, o c\u00e9rebro e os rins. \u00c9 justamente por essa falta de sintomas que a hipertens\u00e3o costuma ser descoberta tardiamente, quando as complica\u00e7\u00f5es j\u00e1 est\u00e3o avan\u00e7adas.<\/p><p>De acordo com dados do Instituto Nacional de Cardiologia (INC), mais de um quarto da popula\u00e7\u00e3o adulta no Brasil sofre de hipertens\u00e3o. Por\u00e9m, quando consumido em excesso, o s\u00f3dio faz com que o organismo retenha mais \u00e1gua, o que aumenta o volume de sangue nos vasos. Isso for\u00e7a o cora\u00e7\u00e3o a trabalhar mais e eleva a press\u00e3o dentro das art\u00e9rias.<\/p><p>O problema n\u00e3o est\u00e1 apenas no sal que usamos para cozinhar. A maior parte do s\u00f3dio que ingerimos est\u00e1 escondida nos alimentos industrializados, como biscoitos salgados, embutidos (salsicha, presunto, mortadela), enlatados, temperos prontos e at\u00e9 p\u00e3es e cereais matinais. Segundo o Minist\u00e9rio da Sa\u00fade, cerca de 70% do s\u00f3dio que consumimos vem desses produtos processados e n\u00e3o do sal adicionado na comida durante o preparo (BRASIL, 2024).<\/p><p>A recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o da Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial da Sa\u00fade (OMS) \u00e9 que uma pessoa adulta consuma no m\u00e1ximo 5 gramas de sal por dia, o equivalente a uma colher de ch\u00e1 rasa. A maior parte vem dos alimentos industrializados, que j\u00e1 cont\u00eam s\u00f3dio em excesso antes mesmo de chegar \u00e0 sua cozinha.<\/li><li><strong>\u201cSal rosa ou sal marinho \u00e9 mais saud\u00e1vel.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>Apesar de algumas diferen\u00e7as de cor e de minerais, todos os tipos de sal cont\u00eam s\u00f3dio e causam o mesmo efeito no organismo quando consumidos em excesso.
